When I was a little girl, I wanted to be President of the United States. After college and grad school, I was fortunate enough to work for the Department of Defense, having served on assignments at the Pentagon and the US Mission to NATO. I also had the honor of serving the people of my community as an elected member of our Board of Supervisors. But I also knew the greatest honor I held in life was that of mother and wife.

My standard lifestyle was a 12-hour workday. With these requirements, I didn't think I could be a woman trying to juggle it all. The proposition of that was just too conflicting. So I made the decision to stay home with my son and find a career that would allow me to contribute to my family without compromising my family priorities. That is when a friend introduced me to DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES™ "It was kind of like that movie 'Jerry Maguire,' when they say 'You had me at hello.' Well, they had me at chocolate.

I have always enjoyed entertaining, throwing parties, and making special treats for my family and friends (and myself!). Becoming an Independent Chocolatier with DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES™ was a natural fit for me, and my family. I knew it would be successful. It's a party where you get together with girlfriends for a night of stress-free indulgences. What's the hard sell in that? And when your business is something you love, it shows.

DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES™ gave me the opportunity to be the first Chocolatier to sell more than $4,000 in one month and become the top seller two years in a row. But I certainly didn't do it alone. I have an incredible team of more than 80 Chocolatiers and we're still growing. The friendship and camaraderie we share is the most rewarding part of my business. We celebrate each other's accomplishments and are always there to support one another.

So I traded the office of the Presidency for a home office, where I am President of my own DOVE CHOCOLATE DISCOVERIES™ business. Now I get to serve the public delicious DOVE® Chocolate!
